What is Soft Skills?
This is a theatre studio in Kristiansand where we develop personal qualities through practice. We study acting techniques for everyday life: building communication and genuine human connection through action — exercises, improvisations and short stage tasks.
The goal is personal transformation: awareness, freedom in communication, confidence, the ability to hear and be heard, and to hold boundaries.

Who are our classes for?
Soft Skills is for adults and young people who want to communicate more easily, feel more confident and be more present in contact with others. No experience needed
If it's hard to meet people and maintain contact
We practise ease of communication through pair and group tasks, improvisations and games.
If it's hard to speak up and hold boundaries
We give you practice in clear expression and a confident 'no' in playful situations.
If you want inner grounding
Through regular practice, you develop greater resilience.
If you want more freedom and creativity
We create an atmosphere where you can try and make mistakes.
Philosophy & Safety
Theatre is a tool for self-discovery and liberation. What matters to us is not the result on stage, but the change in the person.
Ivan Alexeev
Professional actor and teaching artist. He graduated from the Saint Petersburg Academy of Theatre Arts, spent 13 years on stage in Tallinn and performed in over 500 shows. In 2018 he founded the Art Cherdak studio, which grew to over 700 students and 8 original productions in six years. He also holds further training in psychological counselling.
But the numbers aren't what matters most. What matters is what happens in class. You don't need to be talented or brave to walk in. Mistakes are not something to be ashamed of; they are how you grow. Everyone goes at their own pace, but everyone moves forward. Everything I know about the stage, people and personal change is now behind Soft Skills.
